It’ll eliminate any smell that’s present. It’ll also dry quickly so that’s another plus. If you don’t have a spray bottle, you can always dampen a cloth or paper towel and use it to wipe the surfaces of your shoe. You might have to use a bit more alcohol but it’ll work the same way.
